Mother Earth

Gaia’s Window

2014 — Northwest Territories, Canada

Mother Earth | Gaia’s Window is a series of northern aerial landscapes where silence becomes form. From above, the world simplifies into essentials: white immensity, slow water meanders, faint scars of ice, and the quiet geometry of distance. Gaia carries the feeling of Earth as a single living system, a presence; the primordial ground, older than story. And, when it opens, even slightly, the land reveals itself like a consciousness breathing. A river becomes a thought. A curve becomes a sentence. Everything feels both abstract and real. This is what is so powerful about photography. Again, it triggers unconscious interpretations in me. I did not capture them, I did not build them, I simply opened the door for them to come alive and lead my thoughts. These tableaux are about the moment the Earth lets you see her inner script. A window, brief and privileged, into Gaia’s silent order.
