ABOUT

Totally Abstract !

It was my mother who opened my eyes to art by taking me to a painting class at a very young age: I loved it from the first brushstrokes!
Immediately I was fascinated by the play of light and shadow creating the illusion, nevertheless becoming reality. Over time, I left painting aside to travel, raise a family and work. It wasn't until about ten years ago that I picked up my brushes again as I signed up for a class in abstract acrylic painting. This technique was unknown to me until then, but immediately became a revelation. I discovered a new world where the abstract became a stronger representation than reality.
Finally, I was able to let go and rely strictly on my deep and "only" intuition to paint ... This time, with the knives deliberately leaving aside details,  last chain to realism and "representation" , letting the power of imagination come into harmonie with the colors and textures.
Since then, I became part of a small group, meeting every week to paint together. There, I learned from my own weaknesses as well as the strengths and anxieties of other painters.
From the moment abstract appeared to me, I started to paint what I felt, drawing inspiration from the moments I lived, the colors of travel, the feelings, the music… It has now become a real passion!
Sometimes the inspiration results in an obsession stretching over several years leading to multiple paintings observing the same theme; sometimes it will resume in a feeling so precise that it stays unique and not reproducible. They all have one thing in common though: totally abstract!
Abstract painting is for me the most accurate representation of reality, unequivocal happiness where the freedom of imagination acts as colored therapy making me happy every time!
